ABOUT ME
From a very young age, I have been fascinated with people and their stories. When I was 13 years old, my sister was living in Kenya, and I was lucky enough to visit her. We met a Masai warrior as I was so interested in him that I decided to interview him on camera all about his life.
I have always been fascinated with finding common threads in humanity and finding humour and empathy in places you would least likely expect them. So I turned this passion into a career and trained as a journalist and started out working at the BBC in the current affairs unit. I now have over 15 years’ experience making award winning documentaries for Netflix, Apple, BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Hulu.
I have worked on many documentaries over the years including a Channel 4 Cutting Edge film ‘One Killer Punch’ and Apple TV’s first commissioned series in the UK ‘Becoming You’, narrated by Olivia Coleman. I developed and produced ‘The Puppet Master: Hunting The Ultimate Conman’ for Netflix. The documentary was watched by 25 million people in the first 10 days of its release, and it was shortlisted for a Grierson Award.
I have also worked on several non scripted projects including the Emmy nominated Scoop- a feature film about Emily Maitlis’s Newsnight interview with Prince Andrew starring Gilian Anderson and Billie Piper. Above all, I enjoy working on investigative stores which have scale and impact.
As well as a passion for storytelling, I’m a fully qualified mat and reformer Pilates instructor and I like to spend my weekends walking my dog around Victoria Park in Hackney.
